The OpenIn Project is a three year duration Project funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships Programme.
Why OpenIn?
The development of professional automated industrial systems nowadays is still a “proprietary technology” at high costs. Which in a way impede its development and makes its implementation complicated.Objectives
- Analyze the teaching possibilities that the free hardware and software offer for designing automated systems.
- Create tools for students’ formation through real cases.
- Develop innovation materials of high technical level available for higher VET and HE institutions and enterprises using automation systems.
- Create a working methodology that allows to have common criteria for designing automated systems.
Results
- Training Course for EQF level 5 and above students in the field of Industrial Automation using Open Source Applications.
- Training Course for Employers and Teachers.
Course for employers and teachers
- This 5-day intensive seminar includes short introductions to the topics, and lots of practical assignments. Thus, the aim is that after completing the seminar, the participants will be able to develop engaging and learner-centered training solutions and work as trainers.
- The training will be delivered by the faculty from the Departments of Informatics and Mechanical Engineering (T.E.I. Of Crete, Greece).
- Finally a certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.
- No fees required.
